WHY

Adapting To Change Podcast
Creative, Curious, and Challenging Conversations

I’m really interested in listening to people, understanding their experiences, and sharing their wisdom. As a coach and consultant, the more you learn from others, the better you can serve and support those who might benefit from more options.

The Adapting to Change podcast series has evolved from something to do over the Christmas and New Year period. It’s unscripted and doesn’t sell a particular product or service but explores thinking, ideas, creativity, and different perspectives. I’m really pleased that we’ve had a broad range of people participate, from artists to large businesses, small businesses, and charities, discussing topics like mental health, business growth, and the value of art.

I believe there’s real value in unscripted, honest conversations. Indeed, I often find the second half of the podcast more interesting and enlightening, as people feel relaxed and start to share their thoughts, feelings, ambitions, and experiences in a sincere and meaningful way that’s not rehearsed or presented but impactful and invaluable.

While there’s no specific agenda, timetable, or scripted questions per se, this also provides a platform for people who do important things to talk about what they do, whether it’s charitable work, social change, environmental concerns, or economic issues. I’m delighted to offer my podcast as an opportunity for people to share their ideas because these are ideas worth spreading.

PROCESS

The process is simple because it’s an audio podcast we can literally meet you at your offices at a work café or have a zoom or teams record the conversation were necessary we edit it and if there are too many umms and ahhhs or you say something that you later reflect on and don’t want to share you have total control over the process prior to publication.

Once published it will be available by apple itunes and other podcast sites. There is also an option to record the podcast as a video if you want to meet in person that can be quite fun very entertaining and allows you to share images that we can include.

For either podcast we can also include links to your website papers books or other reference material that you would like to include to support the discussion

THE QUESTIONS

Whilst the podcast is unscripted I have found that people participating find it valuable to think of questions and answers ahead of the podcast and so the list below is merely to provoke thinking we don’t religiously follow these questions but instead let things emerge organically

THE HOST

Tim Rogers

I help people, teams and organisations set and achieve goals. Supporting the critical thinking and creating the resources and environment for success.

In my business background, I specialize in transforming public sector organizations into commercial entities. I led the incorporation of the Post Office and Ports of Jersey, demonstrating expertise in projects, processes, and change. My roles have included Operations Change and Sales Support Manager for NatWest and RBS International, as well as overseeing the Programme Office at CI Cooperative.

On the community front, I’ve served as a Lecturer & Trainer for the Chartered Management Institute, an Independent Non-Executive for the Public Accounts Committee, and a participant in the Jersey Policy Forum. Additionally, I’ve chaired the Pharmaceutical Benefits Committee.

In terms of sport performance, I’ve competed in Triathlon (Commonwealth Games 2006) and Ironman (2006-2016), as well as Rowing (World Champs 2009, 2010, 2016) and been a GB Champion in Coastal Rowing (2017, 2021, 2022). I’ve also taken on roles as a coach and team player, including serving as the Athletes’ Representative for the Jersey Commonwealth Games (2014).

With a unique blend of skills and qualifications in change, projects, and performance, I’m equipped to facilitate, consult, and foster collaborative working environments. As an ICF trained coach, IoD Mentor, and Mediation Practitioner, I bring valuable insights to the table. Furthermore, I hold certifications as a PRINCE2 Project Manager and APMG Change Practitioner, alongside an MBA in Management Consulting. My current endeavors include serving as the Chair of the Land Data Management Platform (Technical Steering Committee).
